Micro Wedding at Caboose Farm: Katy & Adam

July 31, 2020

Katy and Adam’s Micro Wedding at Caboose Farm was so endearing. This super fun couple, like so many others this year, pushed on to celebrate their wedding with a smaller more intimate event. Due to state regulations, they were forced to choose a new date and an alternative location from their original wedding plans. For Katy and Adam, downsizing their guest count by no means meant sacrificing their vision for their special day. So the couple decided to move their wedding to July 4th and celebrate with a bang!

Weddings may look at little different in 2020, but what better way to celebrate than with your immediate family. That’s what this couple did! We truly believe selecting Caboose Farms for their event was a great move! A Micro Wedding at Caboose Farm will not short fall of your expectation. That’s because the farm, by all means, is no small place. In fact the farm’s landscape stretches for 200 acres and includes several farm houses, a barn, a hidden ceremony site in the woods, sprawling hills, a few small ponds/creeks and even a lake. The farm serves as the perfect spot for a quiet, relaxing, most importantly, picturesque, family gathering of any size, big or small. Also, the house accommodations at Caboose Farm are top notch. Very bright, clean, and modern. We absolutely loved the venue and can’t wait to work there again!

We spent the morning with Katy and the rest of the women while they got ready. While Alie photographed details, Richie was able to capture how playful they were with each other. Katy and Adam had a full day’s timeline fit into a somewhat shortened day overall, leaving their immediate family plenty of time to celebrate and hang with each other. But there was plenty to capture as Katy thought of every single detail. We love it when our brides have everything nicely organized. As Katy our on her finishing touches, we couldn’t believe how stunning she looked! We orchestrated a reveal to her dad who was waiting downstairs. When Katy walked down the stairs, it was clearly a very emotional moment for the whole family. After some quick family photos it was time to meet the groom.

We walked through a wooded path to get to the to Glade: Caboose’s Farm clearing by the stream.  That’s where Adam was anxiously waiting! As Katie approached, the joy on her face even made us tear up. The couple was gorgeous together and it was wonderful to see their families’ smiles as they witnessed their love for one another. The ceremony site looked like something out of a picture book. A fairies’ forest with lush greenery and the sound of the flowing water on rocks in the adjoining creek.
Following the ceremony (after some photos of course), there was the big surprise of the day. That was a car parade that awaited Katie and Adam. A load of cars drove through the farm with their horn’s honking and drivers cheering. People waved balloons and signs congratulating their newlywed friends. It was such a special way to celebrate, and above all, the perfect cap to end the ceremony. Congratulations Katy and Adam!
