Wedding Planning during Covid-19 may not be something you ever thought you’d have to face. There is growing anxiety about the “what if’s.” Especially, the unknown restrictions that your wedding may or may not face.  And while you are dealt  your share of uncertainties, a little positivity and focus on what you can do during this time may go on long way. You may not be able to do in-person activities like touring your venue-to-be, or fun food tastings. But, if you focus on what you can do, we think you can get a lot of planning done from home. If you are not in a position to leave your house (whether you are immunocompromised or your state/local jurisdiction is still in stay-at-home order), this is the perfect time for you to work on your wedding planning!

Here’s your Wedding Planning Checklist:

    • Guestlist– Narrow down you list and make sure you have up to date addresses for everyone.
    • Potential Vendors– Research any vendors you haven’t hired yet. Check reviews, social media examples and contact them with any questions.
    • Schedule Vendor meetings– Although we are on lockdown, a lot of vendors are home and still willing to meet virtually. Try it! We’ve been chatting to lots of our clients via FaceTime or Zoom.
    • Create a shot list for you photographer- Take time to really think about who and what you want your photographers to capture and make a detailed list. Although most photographers do not work from shoot lists, we think this is a great way to showcase what is really important to you. Lists help us tremendously!
    • Create a song list for your DJ- This is a great time to research songs for your specific moments (First dance, entrance, cake cutting, etc.)
    • Schedule your Engagement Session- If you haven’t yet had your engagement session, research potential outfits, locations, and fun things you can do. As photographers schedules are shuffling rapidly, get on their books sooner than later!
    • Event Outfits- Order online potential outfits for the other events you will be having such as bridal shower, bachelorette/bachelor party, rehearsal dinner, etc.
    • Save-the-Dates- Make and mail your save-the-date notices once you have a location booked.
    • Wedding Website– Create a wedding website and update the details as you can. This may help your guests with their planning as well!
    • Write out your vows- Take this time to really think about what you want to say to your significant other. Guys, this means you! 😉
    • Register for gifts– Work with your fiancé to figure out which items you want to register for and at which stores/sites.
    • Purchase treats for your family and friends– Start searching for gifts for your bridal party and parents and if able, go ahead and make those purchases.
    • Practice your first dance– Practice your dance moves with your fiancé in the living room. Wedding planning and a romantic evening all in one!
    • Send off-  Think about what type of send off you might need and add to the photographer shot list. We like bubbles and sparklers. Most venues do not supply items for send off. Be sure to order this stuff well in advance.
    • The DRESS!!– If you haven’t bought your dress, research dress styles and save some designs for inspiration. Many local bridal shops are offering virtual consultations or private shopping appointments.  When you can go shopping you’ll have your ideas ready. Have your fiancé start planning for their outfit too!
    • Bridal Party Attire– Start brainstorming clothing color and style ideas for bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, ring bearers, etc.
    • Room Block– If you already have your venue, work on booking your room blocks at a nearby hotel.
    • Wedding-day Timeline- Begin working on your timeline with your planner, and/or your photographer.
    • Premarital Counseling– Consider doing Virtual premarital counseling with your officiant or religious leader.
    • Favors- Favor ideas are endless and Pinterest offers so much inspiration. Select which route you’ll take for gifts at each event.
