Kayla and Mike’s Southern Maryland wedding in Pomfret was our last wedding of the season, and what a way to end a year!
We don’t often get a chance to meet a bride at the salon, so we really enjoyed catching up with all the girls as they got their hair done. Kayla is one of five girls (and a brother). While the men are outnumbered in their house, their sisterhood is something to be treasured. It was very obvious that their bond was strong and special.
Their ‘first look’ took place in a warm spot of sun on the church grounds. It was endearing watching Kayla walk down the tree line where Mike was anxiously waiting.
The traditional Catholic ceremony took place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the reception followed in the church hall. The hall was decorated beautifully in Fall inspired fashion, and the color scheme of orange and navy could be found throughout the day. Classic touches like candle lit jars warmed the entire room!
The party lasted into the night with fun and dancing that never seemed to slow down. What an amazing event!
