Waking up at sunrise was soooo worth it for Tammy & Cody’s New York City Elopement. Hitting the most iconic New York City spots – Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, and Central Park made their NYC Elopement an unforgettable experience that really made us feel like a NYC Wedding Photographer.

Let’s start by saying that this couple is totally awesome! Tammy & Cody are from Texas, but they wanted to make their vowel exchange extra special by doing it out-of-State. In other words, their hearts are in New York City! These two love the city’s ambiance, especially it’s food and culture. In fact, they love it so much that they knew they would be married there some day. To quote Tammy and Cody from our first call with them, they said “New York City is our Las Vegas. Most people go to Vegas to get married, we go to New York”.  Definitely wanting a modern, romantic NYC vibe, we instantly got the strong feeling that Tammy and Cody are trendsetters and we were thrilled to follow their lead.  It’s also so fun to find a couple who is equally excited to talk about food as much as us!

Wedding Day:

We started our morning adventure before the sun fully rose at Brooklyn Bridge park. Immediately after, we headed to Times Square. If you’ve ever been to New York, you immediately understand our fears. Times Square can be so crowded! On the contrary, this particular morning, it was eerily on the quieter side. It must be the perks of waking up super early!

Finally, our last and final stop: Central Park – where the two would be married. We met the officiant, Peter Boruchowitz, who was as cool as he was professional. It’s always nice to meet other vendors especially when they heighten the experience of our clients. The ceremony at the Lady’s Pavilion was so sweet. Tammy was in tears as Cody gushed as he looked at his bride.

The logistics of shooting multiple locations held us to a schedule, but that didn’t stop the couple from being genuine and present in the moment. With approximately just 30 mins at each location, we snapped snapped snapped! However, we couldn’t be happier with photos! It was as unique as it was fun, and the resulting photos are like no other wedding we’ve done. We are so grateful Tammy and Cody chose us to document this special day for them.

Let’s wish them many many years of wedded bliss!!
