Carolyn and Eric had one requirement for their engagement session: nature. So we selected a very special place for them, Great Falls. For their DC Engagement at Great Falls, we met this lovely couple early on the Maryland side. We know that the Virginia side of Great Falls is a much more popular local destination, but it’s really worth exploring the Maryland side of the park too. If you’ve never been before, you can expect scenic overlooks, trails that cross narrow parts of the C&O canal, and very calm pools perfect for kayaking or nature watching. The Maryland side also features the popular Billy Goat Trail for those who like to hike.
It was really fun hanging out with Carolyn & Eric and it was great getting to know them. Although we did a virtual photo session with Carolyn & Eric during quarantine, it was very nice to meet them in person. We took Carolyn and Eric on a short hike down by one of the park’s pool-like water features. They did an excellent job being adventurous and climbing up on a few rocks while still remaining calm for our cameras. We also kept things really simple by utilizing the old tavern house for some more formal-style shots. The two are to be married this coming November at St. Francis Hall in Northeast DC and we can’t wait to spend the day with them!
